In June, the BGO featured artist was Sarah DeCarlo. The place was packed before she even started playing.
It’s not surprising as she is a multi-talented artist and resourceful community supporter. Plus, she has a wicked sense of humour that shimmers through her songs.
She played a few “serious” songs to start. DeCarlo is an activist at heart and even her most bouncy and dance-y songs can have you considering different ways to be in the world.
Whether serious or goofy, DeCarlo knows how to engage a crowd – and her band.
After some story telling and some call and response tunes, the crowd couldn’t sit still any more. DeCarlo’s songs make you feel glad to be alive, and what better way to celebrate than dancing.
