BGO Part 2 – Steelburner

I returned to another of the now monthly Burton Glasspool Overdrive nights at Jethro’s.

Wyatt and Charlie set up the evening and set us up for the special guests.

This particular evening was rife with reminiscence and cozy with chatting. It was a family reunion of sorts.

This is Jill Staveley of the Steelburners who were the guest artists.

That is Matt, the other Steelburner, in the back on mandolin and harmonica.

And here are the Steelburners together playing what they call “garage folk.”

Friendly, comfortable and heart-string pulling.

They were joined by Gern of United Steelworkers of Montreal, who spent much of the evening at the front table, with provided microphone, relating touring stories, asking band trivia questions and giving the night it’s reunion quality.

They were also joined by James Ploufe of the Unionist Ministers to round out the reunion.

Perhaps this is the United Steel Minister Burners…

I highly recommend you check out Jethro’s and the BGO nights on the last Thursday of each month.
