Late Post and Come Get Your Photo

I usually post photos I took in the last seven days, but it’s been a busy week, so these photos are from the previous weeks.

Above was the morning after a light dusting. I’m used to seeing bird tracks, squirrel tracks, cats, the occasional dog prints trotting along the side of the house.

But I can’t say I’ve ever seen raccoon track tracks. I know there is an extended family of raccoons in the neighbourhood and I see and hear them all summer. So this shouldn’t really be an unusual thing. But I woke up on this morning and it took me a while to figure out what beast had left these prints.

A couple of weeks ago I went out to the airport with a friend to see if we could find the snowy owl. No such luck, but I did get this lovely photo of the midwinter, pre-snow landscape out there.

Now that we’ve had a couple of good snowfalls, it’s nice to know that the greenery is still there, dormant and sleeping under the blanket of white, ready to return when the weather warms.

I’m doing an evening of quick, take home portraits. If you’re in Peterborough and out and about on Friday, February 1st, swing by Atelier Ludmilla on Hunter St. between Water and George. (The Drawing Room is up a flight of stairs – so not fully accessible).

Postcards From the Drawing Room is a temporary photo studio where you are invited to wear your favourite get up, get your photo taken and walk away with a set of small portraits. The Drawing Room will have select costume pieces and props on hand for those who wish to use them. Photo sessions will take approximately ten minutes. $10 for four wallet sized prints. Spaces are limited. Come early and bring your most alluring smile!
