I’ve been wanting to practice shooting the night sky for a while now. Last night I was driving out with a friend to try to grab a shot for this blog before the sun went down.
We didn’t quite make it in time, but he knew of a place, with a dock, where we might be able to get some good night shots.
Off we headed to the water.
It’s not easy shooting stars. Or at least that’s what I’m finding.
I’ve got the setup, but I’m having some difficulties getting the settings just right.
And my super wide angle lens really shows the aberrations at the edge of the frame in these conditions.
But I’m not displeased with what I got.
All sorts of good reasons to keep working at it.
Nothing like spending a warm evening watching each star appear above until the light is right to start shooting.
I’m looking forward to more of this.
