1. The fence ends to the right of the lookout. There’s a path that’ll take you there. The long walk down is long (45 mins). The short walk down (30min) requires crossing in front of the lookout. Not for the faint of heart. The hike is rock, shale and slag with no sun. Take drinking water. The water is limestone filtered and iron rich. The surface is a lot closer to the top than it was 10 and 20 years ago. It’s high enough that there’s some algae now and it’s not quite as clear. 20 years ago it was so clear you could see 30′ down. Now you can only see about 6′. It’s still beautiful.
