We’ve had some winds lately. Strong. Cold. Blustery. I was almost blown off the road taking my snaps this day.
My mom, painter Bernice Vincent, noticed in one of my last posts a little white car driving through the landscape. This is one of the hallmarks of her paintings. The little white car. The “everyman” car.
Another hallmark of her work is the road itself. She has one painting that shows a road as a triangle leading off into the distance. The photo below reminds me of that painting.
This one’s for you, mom.
Dear Esther,
I like your November photographs. I wish I could have/could make it up to Peterborough to see the exhibit. Looking forward to seeing you at Christmas.
Thanks, Syl,
Maybe one day I’ll have a show in London and you can see them then.
See you over the holidays!
