This photo is from a day out shooting at Hubbert’s Alpaca farm. A crisp sunny August day. This mustang was a rescue from the annual cull in Alberta. She’s a lovely mare, but nervous. She had her herd number branded on her twice – once on her haunch and once under her mane. You can just see it in this photo.

  1. Dear Esther,
I have viewed all of your photos. I must admit that I have gone through a dry spell as of late. You have inspired me to get off my butt and just keep shooting. A “wise” pro once told me that my landscapes had to much sky in them, and then I saw your show at The Blue tomato. I realised photography rules are just cool guidelines. I guess that you have inspired me twice. Thank you Mustang! By the way, Mustang is the first of your photos that I ever saw.
