  1. I was lucky enough to grow up with Point Pelee pretty much in my back yard. There was lots of spillover of birds, into the fields and hedgerows of the region. My mother could boast of a very impressive life list of birds, most of which were spotted out her kitchen window.
    I worked at the Point one season–I’ll never forget the din of birdsong at 5 a.m., could hardly hear yourself think…

  2. I was certainly very loud as the sun came up on the weekend. There was a whippoorwill that made sure everyone was awake good and early. 🙂
