It appears that my Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera truncata) is eager for the season to arrive.
When I cleared out mom’s house, I tried to save as many house plants as I could but mom’s Christmas Cactus, which bloomed half in summer and half in winter, didn’t survive the trip. I’m not sure what happened, but it wasn’t happy in its window here and expired.
That summer a friend was giving away cuttings from her plant and I brought one home.
It took a while to mature, but now it’s looking glorious.
Also young and new to the house is this little beast, Lefty.
She’s quite the little character.
She’s only nine months old, so is also maturing. And also glorious.
