It’s been a while since I took my camera to a rock and roll show.
I’m happy my return was for Nick Procyshyn and the Bad Milk.
I’ve been a fan of Procyshyn ever since I heard him play solo a couple of years ago at the Gallery in the Attic.
His attractive turns of phrase, both musically and lyrically, are deft and just complicated enough that I want to listen to them over and over.
But the big bonus of my return to rock photos was my chance to take snaps of Graeme Kennedy‘s last gig here in Peterborough.
A perennial favourite of mine, he’s off to Fredericton to spread his musical joy there.
If you’re in that part of the world, and you get a chance to see him play, be sure to go find him. Peterborough’s loss is your gain.
And if you’re here in town, or somewhere that Nick Procyshyn tours, go see him. Or buy his CD. I suspect you’ll also want to listen to it over and over – in the car as you drive the roads and highways, or at home with the headphones on to catch each word and tone.
