Slowly, but slowly, the spring air is warming and the sun is melting the snow away.
Quickly, but quickly, the run off water is rushing off to the lakes and seas.
The fields that two weeks ago were under deep ice and snow are muddy and waterlogged.
The little creek that was trickling under the ice is wide and rushing.
This is that same creek from the road side, two weeks ago under ice, and now, it’s banks fairly busting.
And here, looking across the other side of the road, it’s hard to tell where the creek stops and the field begins.
Much like this year, it’s been hard to tell when winter stops and spring begins.
Eventually all of the snow will be gone. Surely.
