This is Kennedy Cult.
Last weekend they played at Gallery in the Attic.
Fronted by Graeme Kennedy‘s brother, Ryan, they are an excellent 80s inspired, broody group of songsters.
You can download an ep for every month this year. Do it and get your 80s on. You won’t regret it.
This is Jeff Macklin who I featured in an earlier post.
This month he has an exhibition at Gallery in the Attic which is inspired by the work of Greg Curnoe, the renowned Canadian artist and cyclist who died 21 years ago yesterday.
If you’re in Peterborough, check out the show. It’s a really interesting reflection on Greg, the regionalists and contemporary art practice.
Also this week was the launch of “Art is Everywhere.”
This is a Peterborough City Bus decorated with “Big Loon Portage,” a work by Jimson Bowler.
Produced by Artspace, this bus will be traveling around Peterborough for the next few months taking Jimson’s work through the city and suburbs.
Watch for it in your neighbourhood and if you can, catch a ride.
