That’s Raja of the Shotgun Wedding Band ripping tunes on her violin at the Red Dog last weekend.
That’s James Plouffe rocking out alongside Raja.
I had hoped to see Tarantuela as well, but had to leave before they played. Both bands are excellent. Check them out if you get the chance.
I also had a couple of trips to Toronto had the time to stop at Darlington.
I’m really drawn to that spot. The rushing highway, the rushing electricity. The lines going in all directions.
And on this day, the clouds, looming, still promising rain but holding back. (Although as I type this, it has been raining for hours – the garden is practically dancing.)
And on Wednesday night, Peterborough joined in with the protests against the “anti-protest” Bill 78 that even has Canada’s legal community expressing concern about the potential violation of the charter of rights.
Peterborough’s first march of clanging pots and pans was small but rang through the downtown drawing attention and cheers.
Watch for more Casserole nights in Peterborough and in your own town.
